It may not be quite the real thing, but this piece of concept art gives the impression of what a freshly downed World War Two fighter aircraft might look like, having slipped beneath the waves. The plane in question is a German Focke-Wulf Fw 190, one of the Luftwaffe’s most formidable wartime fighters. Meanwhile, the below image shows the real deal – an Fw 190 hulk pulled from the water off Sotra, Norway, in 2006.
