Kids of the late ’80s and early ’90s will remember the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis in North America), a cutting edge console of the day competing against other home video game giants including Nintendo. Fast-forward 23 years, however, and the price tag of £40 ($61 USD) for the vintage system above (photographed yesterday on Nicolson Street in Edinburgh, Scotland) sounds a bit steep. But the Mega Drive’s reputation as one of the best consoles ever produced and revival over the past few years suggest that 21st century gamers are willing to pay. What do you think?
