According to Dive Norway, the Murmansk (W206) was a Russian Sverdlov class cruiser built in 1955.  In 1987, the vessel became one of the last gun cruisers to be decommissioned and was earmarked for scrap several years later.  But fate intervened and the vessel sank in 1994 while under tow to the breakers yard in India.  Its impressive remains, complete with guns, rest upright in 10 metres of water between North Cape and Tromso.  Other wrecks in the area include a Heinkel bomber and the Tirpitz.
