A recent summer holiday confirmed the reputation of Boulder, Colorado as the ultimate live-work community at the base of the Rocky Mountains. But less than a mile or two from the bustle of Pearl Street, an exploration revealed these abandoned vintage farm vehicles that looked like remnants of a bygone age.

The forgotten tractor, trailer and truck stood adjacent to a pleasant community garden. Together with several other items, they appeared to have lain unused for years, perhaps even decades.

Unlike many abandoned vehicles, however, the tractor and truck, aided by their vintage designs and muted paintwork, did not blight the otherwise picturesque landscape. The onset of rust had weathered them into earthy shades that complimented the rural environment. (Image copyright: Urban Ghosts.)
